1st Polmont Girls' Brigade has weekly meetings for three age groups as follows:
Explorers (P1 to P3) meet Thursday 18.15-19.30.
At Explorers, we have fun; play games; listen to stories; and most importantly learn about Jesus and His love for us; help others; make things; bake; see our friends go on outings; learn about the world around us; draw and paint; dance and sing; do drama and mime; learn our right from our left and sometimes we march and feel very grown up!
Juniors (P4-P7) meet Wednesdays 18.15-19.45.
In Juniors, we chat, laugh, see our friends and make new ones, we dance, sing, act, talk, listen, bake, cook, do crafts, play games, conquer challenges, see and experience new things, find out about the world and ourselves, and learn of God’s love for us and His world.
Brigaders (S1-S6) meet Wednesdays 19.30-20.45.
At Brigaders, there is so much to do and so many opportunities open to you. As well as more challenging badge work within Girls’ Brigade, there’s still the focus on Spiritual, Physical, Educational and Service topics, but as Brigaders, you are involved in picking topics that are relevant to you, where you can extend your current interest, e.g. dance, music, art, drama, sports, bible studies, crafts and have the opportunity to be introduced to new concepts, to think about who you are and how you fit into the world around you. Brigaders isn’t all theory, it’s about getting out, getting involved and making a difference for yourself and those around you. You can also take on the opportunities and challenges of Leadership Training, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and Queen’s Award and experience all they have to offer.
